World Manufacturing Forum Publishes Report on the Future of Manufacturing
The World Manufacturing Forum has published its first report presenting its recommendations for the future of manufacturing.
Officially presented at the annual World Manufacturing Forum event, the report outlines the current state of manufacturing in numbers, societal megatrends and challenges to discover what actions are needed to achieve future the future-oriented development.
Aligning with Factories of the Future priorities, the report identifies six areas of manufacturing that will shape its future development (cognitive, hyper-personalised, risk-resilient, circular, inclusive and rapidly-responsive).
Furthermore, the report recommends a series of actions to ensure the future of manufacturing, e.g. cultivating a positive image of manufacturing to attract workers, promotion of resource efficiency, education and skills development etc.
It is expected that the World Manufacturing Forum will publish future reports on an annual basis.
